Albarossa White
G entle pressing of the grapes in the absence of oxygen and controlled temperature fermentation in stainless steel vats. This process manages to enhance the characteristics of Verdeca: freshness and savoriness, which, combined with the typical softness of Albarossa, make this white wine unique.

Characteristics and Curiosities
by Fabio Scarpitti, Italian Sommelier Champion
Also for white wines, the Winery choice focuses on autochthonous varieties: the White “Albarossa” is a Verdeca variety, which lately has almost replaced the White Malvasia, due to its greater fertility and to the bright green color conferred to the wines, which makes them more appealing from a commercial point of view. In this wine, the Verdeca brings up wisteria and hay hints, with fresh almond aftertaste.
It contributes to its minerality, sapidity, freshness, and brightness of the color, providing Mediterranean scrub and citrusy notes.
On the nose, orange and orange blossom’s notes blend with lemon, grapefruit, and vanilla sensations. It’s an incredible wine, that positively evolves in its bottle for more than a year and it’s provided only by the best Italian wine shops. Absolutely worth trying!

Combinations
Any fish/vegetable-based dish would be a good match: fried squid or prawn crudité would be the best, but also pasta with clams or turnip greens works just fine. The choice is up to you!
